IDEAYA Biosciences in South San Francisco is seeking a Senior Manager, SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to lead external reporting, technical accounting, and financial compliance in a fast-paced environment. This role drives the preparation of SEC filings, supports the SOX program, and oversees equity accounting with cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance and CPA license required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, biotech preferred.
• Strong U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and close processes knowledge.
• Experience preparing 10-K/10-Q and external-audit documentation.
• Knowledge of stock-based compensation, EPS, and equity transactions.
• SOX controls experience and public-company reporting environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end preparation, review, and filing of Forms 10-K and 10-Q and other SEC filings.
• Own external reporting components: financials, footnotes, MD&A, disclosures.
• Manage quarterly/annual calendar and cross-functional inputs; resolve issues.
• Prepare technical accounting memoranda and present conclusions to management/auditors.
• Monitor new GAAP/SEC rules; implement and update disclosures as needed.
• Prepare materials for Audit Committee and Board; liaise with external auditors.
• Support SOX program; evaluate controls and improve documentation and processes.
• Oversee equity accounting, stock-based compensation, EPS, and related disclosures.
• Coordinate stock administration with HR, transfer agents, and equity platforms.
• Collaborate with tax advisors on provision support and compliance needs.
• Assist month-end/quarter-end close; identify process improvements and automation.
• Provide coaching and leadership to team members and external service providers.
