Job summary

LeoForce is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a publicly traded company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. You will report to the CFO and supervise two accounting professionals, balancing hands-on work with strategic leadership in a lean environment.

The ideal candidate has strong public-company experience, SEC reporting expertise and a deep knowledge of US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
• Public company experience required; SEC reporting experience required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; leadership experience within accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal controls; SOX experience preferred.
• Public accounting background strongly preferred; willingness to stay hands-on in lean environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Own financial statement preparation and reporting; lead SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K).
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; analyze complex accounting issues.
• Lead SOX 404(a) compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Coordinate external audits and interact with auditors; manage accounting staff.
• Oversee GL, revenue recognition, AP, AR, payroll and related functions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning; provide variance analysis.
• Partner with leadership on pricing, contracts and cost management; drive process improvements.
