Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial reporting for a publicly traded technology company in the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

Reporting to the CFO and supervising two accounting professionals, you will own close processes, SEC reporting, and internal controls while partnering with leadership on budgeting, pricing and contracts. This lean team emphasizes hands-on leadership and rigorous financial discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA required.
• Public company experience preferred.
• SEC reporting experience required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership experience within an accounting function.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Experience with SOX and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly and annual close processes.
• Own financial statement preparation and reporting.
• Lead SEC reporting, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Research and resolve complex technical accounting matters.
• Lead SOX 404(a) compliance and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate external audits and serve as a primary contact for external auditors.
• Oversee general ledger accounting, revenue recognition, AP, AR, payroll and related accounting functions.
• Manage and develop accounting staff.
• Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Manage treasury, cash forecasting, banking relationships and liquidity planning.
• Participate in budgeting, forecasting and long-range financial planning.
• Prepare financial analysis and actual-to-budget reporting.
• Partner with leadership on pricing, contracts, cost management and other business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and system efficiencies.
• Remain hands-on and willing to assist with day-to-day accounting activities as needed.
