Job summary

City of McKinney is seeking an IT Specialist with a focus on Audio Visual systems to support council and planning meetings, manage AV equipment, and assist Crestron installations. The role includes setting up TVs, projectors, overhead paging systems, and digital signs as part of a multi-department IT/AV team.

The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and at least three years of AV experience, with strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, telecommunications, or related field required.
• 3+ years of experience working with Audio Visual equipment and IT support.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem solving for AV/IT issues.
• Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate cross-functional AV projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess AV/Telecom requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain AV systems and related technologies.
• Provide technical support for AV issues to minimize downtime.
• Develop and maintain documentation for AV configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist IT projects related to AV technologies and support the Service Desk as needed.
