Job summary

State Auditor's Office in Washington state offers seasonal and year‑round internship opportunities with our audit teams statewide. Interns must be enrolled in an accredited college or university, travel to audit sites will be required, and the pool remains active for three months for openings.

Interns perform audit tests, analyze data, communicate with entity staff, and support more complex procedures as needed. A strong foundation in accounting and communication is expected.

Qualifications

• Completed their sophomore year.
• Completed some accounting coursework.

Responsibilities

• Interns work with audit staff and perform audit tests.

• May work on several small assignments or one large assignment over the internship period.
