Job summary

Weld County is seeking an Eligibility Technician for Assistance Payments in Greeley, CO. This in-person role includes 8 a.m.–5 p.m. M–F with potential telework up to 10 days/month after training. You will learn to determine eligibility, process applications, and support clients through CBMS and PEAK systems.

Requires a High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of related experience; 35 wpm keyboard preferred. Travel and background checks are part of the process. Training lasts about 3 months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of full-time office/clerical experience or equivalent.
• Ability to keyboard at 35 wpm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn to determine eligibility for public assistance programs under supervision.
• Assist with processing applications and renewals for Medicaid, SNAP, and related programs.
• Enter client data into CBMS, PEAK, and other state/county systems.
• Provide customer service by explaining the application process and referrals to services.
