Job summary

County of Weld is hiring an Eligibility Technician to learn determining eligibility for Medicaid, SNAP, and other public programs with formal training and supervision. You will gather information from clients, verify data, and support applicants through the process.

The role is based at the Fort Lupton office with standard hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, and up to 10 telework days per month after training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of full-time office/clerical experience or equivalent.
• Ability to enter data accurately in multiple programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Strong reading, math, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom and hands-on training for public assistance programs.
• Review applications and renewals for completeness and accuracy.
• Enter client information into county/state databases and maintain logs.
• Provide customer service and explain the application process.
• Attend team meetings and support a positive work environment.
