Job summary

Weld County is seeking an Eligibility Technician I/II to learn to determine initial and ongoing eligibility for public assistance programs such as Medicaid and SNAP. The role starts with structured training at the Greeley office, moving toward independent processing under supervision. Hours are 8 a.m.

to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, with potential telework after training. You will gather financial information, enter data into CBMS and PEAK, verify documents, and communicate case status to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• 1 year of full-time business/clerical experience in an office environment or equivalent.
• Ability to enter data into multiple computer programs and operate databases.

Responsibilities

• Participate in classroom and hands-on training for Medicaid and SNAP.
• Review applications and renewals for completeness and accuracy.
• Independently review new applications and supporting docs over time.
• Enter and update client information in county/state systems and prepare logs/reports.
• Provide customer service to clients and explain the application process; refer to other services when needed.
