Job summary

State of South Carolina seeks a Public Assistance program professional to support disaster recovery efforts. You will serve as a liaison among local, state, and federal agencies, assist applicants with PA grants management, and prepare progress reports and documentation.

Travel up to ~30% is expected, with emphasis on in-state assignments. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and experience in grants management; certification in emergency management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree. Experience should include grants management functions.
• Ability to navigate online systems and processes including databases. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Travel approximately 30 percent of work hours, including overnight, primarily in-state travel for work from locations outside Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Supports disaster recovery in South Carolina as a member of the Public Assistance (PA) program team.
• Serves as a liaison among local, state, and federal program agencies in implementing the PA program.
• Provides recommendations to PA program leadership on issues that require action or attention.
