Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting is seeking an EM Public Assistance Specialist at multiple levels to support disaster recovery efforts. This role requires traveling on-site across the country, with up to 100% travel and a flexible schedule.

Compensation ranges from $35 to $50 hourly depending on location and level. The ideal candidate will bring FEMA public assistance and grant experience, strong MS Excel skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience (Mid-level 3-5 years, Senior-level 5-7 years)
• Demonstrated knowledge of FEMA categories A, B, and E
• Experience using grants portals such as EMMIE or state systems

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and guide clients through the recovery process.
• Maintain understanding of FEMA policies, requirements, and evaluation protocols.
• Analyze project applications, supporting docs, and inspection reports for accuracy and compliance.
