AC Disaster Consulting is seeking an EM Public Assistance Specialist to support disaster recovery efforts. This on-site role requires travel up to 100% and offers hourly pay ranging from $35 to $50, depending on location and level.

The position focuses on technical assistance, FEMA policy compliance, and grant lifecycle management while coordinating with clients and stakeholders across jurisdictions. Strong Excel and grants portal experience are required.

Formación

• 3-7+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience
• Knowledge of FEMA categories A, B and E
• Experience in at least 2 major disaster recovery efforts
• Experience writing project worksheets (PWs)
• Experience using database software for project eligibility, scope and cost estimates
• Experience in Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
• Experience with grants portal/EMMIE
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel

Responsabilidades

• Provides Technical Assistance and expertise to clients through the recovery process
• Maintains understanding of FEMA policies, requirements, and evaluation protocols
• Analyze and evaluate project applications and supporting documentation for compliance
• Ensure quality, completeness, and on-time delivery of tasks
• Utilize grants portal to track client information
• Understand procurement and contracting requirements
• Work through all phases of the grant lifecycle
