Job summary

AC Disaster Consulting seeks an EM Public Assistance Specialist to join our disaster recovery team. This is a temporary, hourly role with travel up to 100% across the country and flexible local worksite assignments.

You will provide technical assistance to clients, review FEMA policies, evaluate project worksheets, and manage grant data to ensure quality and on‑time delivery. Strong FEMA knowledge and MS Excel proficiency are required; experience with grants portals like EMMIE is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3-7+ years of FEMA public assistance and grant experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of FEMA categories A, B and E.
• Experience writing project worksheets and managing grant data.
• Proficient in MS Excel and working in Emergency Operations Center.
• Ability to travel and work remotely in client sites.

Responsibilities

• Provides technical assistance and guidance through the recovery process.
• Analyze project applications and ensure compliance with FEMA policies.
• Ensure on-time, quality delivery of all tasks and data management.
• Work with grants portals to track client information and eligibility.
• Support procurement and contracting requirements throughout grants lifecycle.
