• Knowledge of regulations governing eligibility determinations for aid programs
• Knowledge of community resources providing social services and employment support
• Ability to interview and guide clients, assess employability and barriers
• Ability to explain policies and eligibility requirements to clients
• Ability to organize and maintain case files and records
• Ability to conduct group orientations and workshops
• Ability to coordinate case management with staff and external resources
• Ability to prepare reports and maintain records using automated systems

Responsibilities

• Conducts group orientations and workshops to inform applicants and recipients of program rules and participation requirements
• Interviews and guides clients to assess employability and determine benefit eligibility
• Handles crisis situations by authorizing benefits within guidelines or referring to resources
• Assesses education, work experience and job interests to guide placement in employment services
• Maintains and updates client caseloads and records within regulatory timelines
• Coordinates case management with staff and service providers
• May assist the public in applying for resources and conducting field visits for interviews and progress checks
