SpringHill Suites by Marriott Alexandria Old Town/Southwest is seeking a dedicated House Person to clean and maintain public hotel areas in line with brand standards and guest service expectations.

The role supports operations by greeting guests, inspecting spaces, handling linens, reporting issues, and maintaining cleanliness. Flexibility for varying shifts is expected, with emphasis on safety and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly.
• Collect trash and dispose of in outside dumpsters.
• Vacuum and dust guest corridors.
• Transport linen from hotel floors to the laundry collection site.
• Deliver clean linen to assigned sections.
• Report maintenance issues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas.
• Respond to guest inquiries and assistance.
• Work as a room attendant during peak periods or staffing shortages.
• Follow sustainability guidelines (EarthView).
• Practice safe work habits and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
