Job summary

The Scott Resort & Spa in Scottsdale seeks an energetic, detail-loving Public Areas Attendant to keep guest-facing spaces immaculate during afternoon and evening hours. No overnight shifts.

You will dust, clean restrooms, restock supplies, and help maintain a polished, four-diamond resort experience while supporting housekeeping leadership and guest requests. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or public-area cleaning experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and punctuality.
• Ability to communicate clearly with guests and team members.

Responsibilities

• Dusting furniture, artwork, fixtures, and accessories in public spaces.
• Maintain pool areas: towels, trash, lounger appearance, cleanliness.
• Clean and restock public restrooms: sinks, toilets, mirrors, floors, paper products.
• Polish metal surfaces to maintain resort presentation.
• Empty trash and clean ashtrays in outdoor areas.
• Monitor lobbies and walkways for debris and safety hazards.
• Support Housekeeping leadership and Room Attendants as needed.
• Assist guests with directions and information.

What You'll Do

You'll help keep our guest-facing spaces immaculate, welcoming, and ready for the next memorable Scottsdale moment. Your work will include:

• Dusting furniture, artwork, fixtures, and accessories throughout public areas.
• Maintaining pool areas by attending to towels, trash, lounge-chair appearance, and overall cleanliness.
• Cleaning and restocking public restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tile, counters, walls, stalls, vents, floors, and paper products.
• Cleaning and polishing metal surfaces to maintain a refined resort presentation.
• Emptying trash and cleaning ashtrays in outdoor public areas.
• Monitoring lobbies, walkways, outdoor seating areas, and pools for glasses, waste, trash, and other items needing attention.
• Supporting Housekeeping leadership and Room Attendants as needed to maintain resort standards.
• Helping guests with friendly directions, information, and assistance whenever requested.
• Reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, and hazardous conditions to the Safety and Security Department.
• Providing guidance to guests and fellow associates during fire or other emergency situations.

• Previous janitorial or public-area cleaning experience is preferred, but a positive attitude and commitment to high standards go a long way.

What the Work Requires

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and move equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance appropriate for a four-diamond resort.
• Dependable attendance as scheduled, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
