Job summary

The Scott Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking a detail-oriented Public Areas Attendant (PM). This role focuses on keeping guest-facing spaces immaculate, welcoming, and guest-ready during afternoon and evening hours with no overnight shifts.

You will support housekeeping leadership, assist guests, and maintain a polished, four-diamond resort presentation across lobbies and pool areas. Prior janitorial experience is helpful, and reliability is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or public-area cleaning experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dust furniture, artwork, fixtures, and accessories in public areas.
• Maintain pool areas by towels, trash, and lounge-chair appearance.
• Clean and restock public restrooms, including sinks, toilets, and floors.
• Polish metal surfaces to maintain a refined resort presentation.
• Empty trash and clean ashtrays in outdoor public areas.
• Monitor lobbies, walkways, and pools for debris and attention items.
• Support Housekeeping leadership and Room Attendants as needed.
• Assist guests with directions and information; respond to requests.
• Report safety concerns and emergencies to Security.

What You'll Do

You'll help keep our guest-facing spaces immaculate, welcoming, and ready for the next memorable Scottsdale moment. Your work will include:

• Dusting furniture, artwork, fixtures, and accessories throughout public areas.
• Maintaining pool areas by attending to towels, trash, lounge-chair appearance, and overall cleanliness.
• Cleaning and restocking public restrooms, including sinks, toilets, urinals, mirrors, tile, counters, walls, stalls, vents, floors, and paper products.
• Cleaning and polishing metal surfaces to maintain a refined resort presentation.
• Emptying trash and cleaning ashtrays in outdoor public areas.
• Monitoring lobbies, walkways, outdoor seating areas, and pools for glasses, waste, trash, and other items needing attention.
• Supporting Housekeeping leadership and Room Attendants as needed to maintain resort standards.
• Helping guests with friendly directions, information, and assistance whenever requested.
• Reporting suspicious activity, safety concerns, and hazardous conditions to the Safety and Security Department.
• Providing guidance to guests and fellow associates during fire or other emergency situations.

What the Work Requires

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, push, pull, and move equipment throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift equipment or furniture weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to maintain a polished, professional appearance appropriate for a four-diamond resort.
• Dependable attendance as scheduled, including afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts.
