City of Albuquerque is seeking an HHH Public Affairs Specialist to develop and manage public information for health, housing, and homelessness programs. You will craft communications arcs, advise on strategy, and serve as media liaison and spokesperson when needed.

The role includes writing news releases, talking points, speeches, and newsletters; managing social media and the department website; and leading press events and public presentations.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications, business administration, or public relations preferred.
• Three years of communications experience preferred.
• Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or ability to obtain by date of hire.

• Develop and implement an effective public information program for priority programs.
• Write news releases, talking points, speeches, newsletters, and flyers.
• Lead press conferences and respond to media inquiries as department spokesperson.
• Develop and coordinate communications strategies and arcs for department topics.
• Manage department website content and social media platforms; assist with events.
• Coordinate speaking engagements and media interviews to convey program information.
• Create, design, and layout publications including print and digital materials.
• Represent the department in public appearances and presentations to community groups.
