Job summary

Cara Irish Pubs is seeking a friendly host/greeter to warmly welcome guests as they arrive and guide them to seating. You will help maintain a smooth dining flow and uphold a high standard of cleanliness and presentation throughout the pub.

The role involves handling reservations and assisting guests, with a focus on courtesy, accuracy, and guest satisfaction. A POS system may be used to manage guest interactions and bookings.

Qualifications

• Must have valid, legal identification.
• Walk, stand, and move about briskly during the entire shift.
• Lift or carry service trays up to 50 pounds, ~50 times per shift.
• Able to operate a point-of-sale system.
• Hazards may include slips, burns, strains, and cuts.

Responsibilities

• Greet all arriving guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
• Seat guests and maintain operational efficiency of the restaurant.
• Ensure guests receive prompt and attentive service.
• Answer incoming calls and bookings.
• Assist guests whenever appropriate.
• Thank guests and invite them to return.
• Maintain bathrooms, bar, and dining areas clean and tidy.
• Adhere to all state and local laws and pub policies on alcohol service.
• Keep a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor with guests and employees.
• Maintain neat, clean appearance in uniform.
• Work multiple shifts.
