Job summary

AFC Materials Group in Lake in the Hills, IL is seeking a General Assembler on 2nd shift (Monday-Thursday, 1pm-11:30pm). This role operates converting equipment to manufacture PTFE clamshell components, ensuring materials are cut, inspected, rolled and inventoried to meet quality and efficiency standards.

You will read and follow written work instructions in English, handle inventory transactions in our ERP, and perform routine cleaning and maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Experience operating cutting equipment, material handling equipment, or converting machinery is a plus.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and in-process materials to ensure quality standards during production.
• Loop clamshell parts using 700-degree looping equipment.
• Roll, package, and prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Complete all required inventory transactions accurately within the ERP system.
• Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance of work areas, machinery, tools, and equipment.
• Demonstrate AFC's Core Values in daily work.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
