Job summary

AFC Materials Group in Lake in the Hills, IL is hiring for a General Assembler on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 1:00 PM–11:30 PM). You will operate converting equipment to manufacture PTFE clamshell components, ensure materials are cut, inspected, looped, rolled, and inventoried, and maintain quality and safety standards.

The role requires reading and following written instructions in English, preferred prior manufacturing experience, and a willingness to work with cutting and converting machinery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Manufacturing or production experience preferred.
• Experience operating cutting equipment or converting machinery is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming and in-process materials for quality.
• Loop clamshell parts using 700-degree looping equipment.
• Roll, package, and prepare finished products for storage or shipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
• Record inventory transactions in the ERP system.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of work areas and tools.
