Job summary

Amarillo College is seeking a Supplemental Instructor for the Physical Therapist Assistant program. You will provide instructional support through classroom, laboratory, and clinical experiences, reinforcing content and promoting clinical skills and professional behaviors.

You will work with program faculty to maintain learner‑centered instruction, safety, and alignment with accreditation standards while developing students’ clinical reasoning and psychomotor skills.

Qualifications

• Associate of Applied Science Degree in PTA is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related healthcare field is preferred.
• Current Texas PTA or PT license is required.
• Clinical teaching/mentoring experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide supplemental instruction in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Reinforce course content and promote learner‑centered instruction.
• Support student learning outcomes and accreditation standards for the PTA program.
• Assist with instructional activities, demonstrations, and assessments.
