Job summary

Austin Community College is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant Faculty member to support learning on campus, all distance learning modalities, simulation, and clinical experiences.

The successful candidate will bring contemporary expertise in neurological diseases and conditions across ages, and will prepare and deliver engaging coursework reflecting a commitment to student success and belonging.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant with current unencumbered licensure, certification or registration.
• Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant with current unencumbered licensure, certification or registration and three (3) years non-teaching work experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and teach courses in Physical Therapist Assistant to a multicultural student population based on department outcomes and approved course learning outcomes.
• Participate in departmental governance, curriculum review, program reviews, and assessment of student learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student progress and provide timely feedback reflecting program outcomes and expectations.
• Mentor students in the Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Maintain regular office hours and engage in college activities to support student success.
