Job summary
San Juan College is seeking an adjunct faculty member to teach Physical Therapist Assistant courses and labs on a semester basis. The role involves developing and revising instructional materials, evaluating student learning, and maintaining records across day, evening, weekend and online classes.
The position supports remote and hybrid options within New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Texas, with advance approval required for remote work.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited PTA or PT program is required.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred or must be willing to pursue within 3–5 years.
- PTA license in NM required and current annually.
- Experience with traditional, hybrid and online courses and Canvas LMS.
- Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone.
Responsibilities
- Teach college‑level courses and labs as assigned.
- Develop and revise instructional materials; present material clearly.
- Maintain student records and evaluate learning; teach day/evening/weekend/online classes.
- Offer at least one office hour per week per course.
- Participate in adjunct professional development and uphold college values.
