Job summary

Stern Therapy Consultants is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a full-time position at Autumn Lake at Ocean View in Ocean View, NJ. The role involves providing PTA-supervised therapy to residents in a skilled nursing and post-acute care setting, focusing on mobility, strength, and independence.

You will work with a rehabilitation team to implement treatment plans, document progress, educate residents and caregivers, and ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active NJ Physical Therapist Assistant license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Help residents improve strength, balance, gait, endurance, and functional mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans based on resident goals.
• Monitor progress and communicate updates to the supervising PT.
• Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and safety.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other care-team members.
