Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant to implement the plan of care under a physical therapist and to treat patients of all ages. The role serves as a clinical resource and emphasizes education, documentation, and collaboration with the care team.

A sign-on bonus is available: $1,500 for new grads, $2,500 for candidates with 1+ years of experience, plus relocation assistance if moving 50+ miles.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with IDFPR licensure or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days as required by employer.
• Board Eligible and able to complete board exam on the next available date; ongoing CEU requirements.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, caregivers, students, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Follows the therapist’s plan of care and adjusts treatment based on patient response after communication with the evaluating therapist.
• Produces documentation in accordance with policy and daily notes.
• Complete annual education to comply with program requirements where applicable.
• Performs treatment interventions including therapeutic exercise, gait and balance training, ultrasound, and electrical stimulation.
• Coordinates with PT on patient treatment and communicates progress to referring providers.
