Job summary

Apploi is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our skilled nursing facility team in Florida. You will support residents through rehabilitation, assist with therapeutic exercises, and promote mobility under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.

• Completion of an accredited PTA program.
• Current PTA license or eligibility in Florida.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with elderly residents.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Physical Therapists and nursing staff.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with mobility training, gait training, transfers, and strengthening exercises
• Implement individualized therapy plans per resident needs
• Monitor progress and document outcomes accurately
• Educate residents and families about activities and home exercise programs
• Maintain a safe, clean therapy environment
• Collaborate with nursing and rehabilitation teams
• Encourage participation and independence in daily activities
