Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to support physical therapy services across patient ages under the supervision of a physical therapist.

Responsibilities include educating patients and families, assisting with therapeutic exercises and gait/balance training, and documenting daily progress in the EMR. Must hold an Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant and be licensed or eligible.

Qualifications

• Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in the appropriate state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Board eligible / must complete board exam on next available date.
• Continuing education relevant to acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, family, caregivers, students and other health care providers.
• Assists with therapy plan of care, adjusting treatment based on patient response with therapist communication.
• Documents as per Corporate Documentation Policy (CTSCP67).
• Assists with annual education per facility program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan and coordinates with PT on patient interventions.
