Job summary

Emerald Healthcare seeks a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehab team in Oklahoma City, OK. The PTA will work closely with physical therapists and nursing staff to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services to residents, focusing on mobility, strength, and functional independence.

You will educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, assist with treatment plans, document progress, and help ensure safety and regulatory compliance in a clinical skilled nursing

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assisting and licensure as PTA.
Experience in skilled nursing or rehab settings preferred.
Ability to lift/move patients and handle equipment.

Responsibilities

Assist physical therapists in implementing and modifying treatment plans based on patients' needs and progress.
Collect and document patient data, including progress notes and treatment outcomes.
Educate patients and their families about exercises, equipment use, and home programs.
Set up and maintain therapeutic equipment and assist patients with devices and aids.
Collaborate with physical therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.
Adhere to facility policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
