Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support licensed therapists across outpatient, inpatient, and rehab settings in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The PTA will implement treatment plans, assist patients with mobility and functional activities, and document progress under supervision.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Licensure: Current PTA license in state of practice.
• BLS certification preferred or required per facility policy.
• Previous PTA experience preferred in outpatient orthopedics, SNF, rehab, home health or acute care.
• Experience with EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by supervising PT.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, coordination, flexibility, endurance, and independence.
• Instruct and supervise therapeutic exercises, gait training, transfers, and use of assistive devices.
• Document treatment sessions, progress, goals, and observations in accordance with policies.
• Educate patients and caregivers on plans, home exercises, injury prevention and safe mobility.
• Maintain safety and adhere to HIPAA and infection prevention policies.
• Prepare treatment areas and maintain therapy equipment and environment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and therapists to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing education as assigned.
