Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to support the Physical Therapist in delivering resident-focused care and implementing treatment plans. You will assist with assessments, execute prescribed therapies, and help maintain documentation in accordance with facility policies.

In this role you will educate residents and families about goals, exercises, and safety, coordinate with the care team, and assist with equipment orders to enhance mobility and independence.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient with Net Health and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Physical Therapist with resident-focused care and treatment implementation.
• Complete timely, accurate, and compliant documentation.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Communicate with the supervising PT to update physicians, nursing staff, and the care team.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Assist with training Restorative Aides and equipment needs to promote independence.
