Job summary

PACS is seeking a Staff Physical Therapist Assistant to assist the Staff Physical Therapist with resident-related activities and direct resident care.

The PTA will document processes accurately, maintain a safe care environment, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support progress and discharge planning. CA licensure and proficiency with Net Health and Point Click Care are required.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited PTA program.
• Proficient in computer skills and clinical documentation.
• Ability to read technical procedures and manuals.
• Licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of California.

Responsibilities

• Treat residents as directed by Physical Therapist.
• Complete timely, accurate documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a safe treatment environment following infection control and safety protocols.
• Participate in Resident Care conferences and Rehabilitation meetings as needed.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on treatment goals and home exercise programs.
• Communicate with supervising PT to update physicians and staff on progress and discharge planning.
• Contribute to quality assurance and rehabilitation program development.
