Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Waterville is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a skilled nursing facility. This PRN position partners with licensed physical therapists to deliver high-quality rehabilitation and mobility improvement for residents.

You will help patients perform therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, educate families, and contribute to discharge planning in a compassionate, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Experience in physical therapy settings such as outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health is preferred.
• Knowledge of patient care techniques and rehabilitation practices for various populations.
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team with compassion and empathy.

Responsibilities

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor progress.
• Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises to improve mobility.
• Educate patients and families about home care and exercises.
• Document patient care activities and maintain records.
