We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality patient care in a skilled nursing facility. This role is crucial in helping patients regain mobility and improve their quality of life through effective rehabilitation strategies.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor progress to ensure effective treatment outcomes
• Support patients in performing therapeutic exercises and activities designed to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, care plans, and exercises to be performed at home
• Document patient care activities accurately and maintain comprehensive records of treatments provided
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop discharge planning strategies that facilitate smooth transitions for patients
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by adhering to health and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field from an accredited program
• Current state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant
