Job summary

Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare in Norwich, CT is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity. You'll provide treatments under a licensed Physical Therapist and help residents improve mobility and independence.

This flexible role welcomes new graduates and emphasizes resident-centered care, teamwork, and clear communication within an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. You will work in a supportive environment offering short-term rehabilitation and long-term care

Qualifications

Active Connecticut PTA license required.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility.
Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT.
Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team.
Reinforce safe movement techniques and mobility strategies.
Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
