Job summary

Eastern Star Home and Campus in Oriskany, NY is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to support rehabilitation for residents, helping improve strength, mobility, balance, and daily function.

You will work under the supervision of a licensed PT, contributing to individualized treatment plans, coordinating care with the rehab team, and documenting progress to ensure high-quality therapy services.

Qualifications

• Active New York PTA license required.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• New graduate PTAs are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist.
• Assist residents with strengthening, balance, gait training, transfers, endurance, and mobility.
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT.
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the clinical team.
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and mobility strategies; complete accurate and timely documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Eastern Star Home and Campus. This flexible position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands-on rehabilitation and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and everyday function.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
