Job summary

Norwich, CT — Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN role in a flexible, hands-on rehabilitation setting. You will support the licensed PT, help residents improve mobility and independence, and participate in interdisciplinary care planning.

New graduates are welcome. The clinic emphasizes resident-centered care and collaborative teamwork within a supportive rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
• Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
• Reinforce safe movement techniques and mobility strategies
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
• Collaborate with rehabilitation staff and other members of the interdisciplinary team

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a PRN opportunity at Norwichtown Rehab and Healthcare. This flexible position is ideal for a PTA who enjoys hands‑on rehabilitation and helping residents improve strength, mobility, balance, and functional independence.

What You'll Do

• Provide physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist
• Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance, transfers, strengthening, and mobility
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising PT
