Job summary

Life Enriching Communities in New Albany, Ohio, is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) PRN to join our Wesley Woods campus. You’ll work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized rehabilitation services to residents in a compassionate, collaborative setting.

The role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and Ohio PTA license; 2+ years of experience preferred; pre-employment background and drug screens.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Ohio PTA license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalized, high-quality therapy services to residents.
• Administer manual exercises, massage, or traction as prescribed.
• Instruct and assist residents with functional mobility and activity improvement.
• Observe, document, and report progress to the Physical Therapist.
• Fit and train residents in orthopedic devices and assistive devices.
• Collaborate with team to develop and adjust treatment programs.
• Support clerical tasks such as inventory and documentation.

You, our Ideal Candidate

As a valued member of our in-house team, not a contracted service, you play a vital role in supporting our residents’ recovery and independence. You’re compassionate, collaborative, and skilled in guiding individuals through customized rehabilitation plans. You’re flexible, empathetic, and bring a positive attitude that helps residents feel encouraged and empowered.

Responsibilities

As our Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work closely with the Physical Therapist and interdisciplinary team to deliver personalized, high-quality therapy services to our residents.

• Administer manual exercises, massage, and/or traction to relieve pain, improve strength, and reduce the risk of deformity
• Instruct, motivate, and assist residents with functional mobility and activity improvement
• Observe, document, and report resident progress and treatment responses to the Physical Therapist
• Fit and train residents in the use and care of orthopedic devices such as braces, prostheses, walkers, and wheelchairs
• Collaborate with team members to develop and adjust treatment programs
• Support clerical functions such as inventory, supply orders, and documentation

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program
• Current Physical Therapist Assistant license in the State of Ohio
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
