Job summary

H2 Health is hiring a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for our outpatient clinic in Tazewell, Virginia. This role offers 24-35 hours per week with full-time benefits eligibility at 35 hours, and the chance to work with AI-assisted documentation to free more time for patient care.

You will provide hands-on, patient-centered care under supervision of a licensed PT, with opportunities to treat orthopedic injuries and surgeries, monitor progress, and educate patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current Virginia PTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills.
• Outpatient experience is a plus; new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized PTA treatments under supervision of a licensed PT.
• Help patients improve strength, mobility, balance, and independence.
• Treat patients after orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and movement-related conditions.
• Monitor progress and communicate observations to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients on therapeutic exercises and recovery strategies.
• Maintain clinical documentation using EMR and AI-assisted tools.
• Collaborate with the team to deliver evidence-based care.
