Job summary

Florida Orthopaedic Institute is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our outpatient rehab team across multiple Tampa Bay locations. You will work under a licensed Physical Therapist to support orthopedic and sports medicine patients in recovery and return-to-function goals.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve their rehab goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
• Instructing patients in exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
• Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
• Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.
