Job summary

Florida-Orthopaedic-Institute (FOI) has multiple PTA opportunities across the Tampa Bay Area, including New Port Richey. Competitive pay ranges from $26 to $35 per hour, with scheduling designed to prioritize quality patient care and opportunities for career growth.

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you’ll work under a licensed PT to treat orthopedic injuries and post-surgical conditions, document visits, educate patients, and support the therapy team across several FOI locations in the Tampa

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
• Current CPR certification.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and motivated to help people achieve their rehab goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Providing individualized patient treatments as outlined in the Physical Therapist’s plan of care.
• Documenting each visit with treatment notes, progress updates, and patient assessments.
• Instructing patients in exercise programs, proper body mechanics, and safe use of assistive devices.
• Guiding patients through gait training and mobility exercises.
• Communicating patient status changes promptly to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Serving as a clinical instructor and mentor for PTA students.
• Supporting the therapy team and clinic operations as needed.
