Job summary

Cascadia EE LLC is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to work under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist residents in regaining movement, managing pain, and performing daily living activities through therapeutic exercises and functional activities.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, documenting care, and following treatment plans to ensure continuity of care. A PTA license and CPR certification are required; prior long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program.
• Current state PTA licensure.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Helps residents with ambulation and mobility.
• Contributes to the therapist's effectiveness by identifying patient care issues and implementing directives.
• Assesses patient health by interviewing and examining therapy histories.
• Assesses abnormal conditions by reviewing evaluations and test results.
• Documents patient care services by charting in records.
• Performs therapeutic procedures by administering manual exercises and guiding activities.
• Instructs and counsels patients on therapeutic regimens and wellness.
• Provides continuity of care implementing patient management plan.
• Maintains safe environment by following infection-control policies.
• Monitors treatment trends to meet production objectives.
• Ensures punctuality and regular attendance for shifts.
