Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility. This role requires graduation from an accredited PTA program and a current New York PTA license.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA License.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting is preferred, but new graduates with relevant fieldwork experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure and record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques such as stretching and massage; assist residents in specific exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain a cooperative relationship among the healthcare team.
