Sigma Health Rehab is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a Full-time position in a Skilled Nursing Facility in Argyle, NY. A $3,000 Sign-On Bonus is offered with this role.

The PTA will follow the plan of care created by the supervising therapist and collaborate with the rehab team to promote residents’ independence. Requirements include graduation from an accredited PTA program, current New York PTA license, and preferred experience in geriatric or SNF settings; new grads

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
• Current New York State PTA license.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or geriatric care setting preferred; new graduates with fieldwork experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follow the plan of care set out by the supervising physical therapist.
• Measure & record residents' motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Observe and document resident performance.
• Treat residents with techniques like stretching and massage; assist with prescribed exercises.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and comply with all legal and professional requirements.
• Maintain cooperative relationships within the healthcare team.
