Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to provide direct rehabilitation services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in a post-acute setting.

The PTA must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy program and maintain active licensure in the state. Primary duties include following treatment plans, charting, and using therapy software while delivering compassionate, patient-focused care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy (ASPT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

• Follow physical therapy treatment plans for patients under direction of the supervising PT
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately
• Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assist in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
