Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide direct rehabilitative care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. You will deliver therapy services to patients referred by physicians in accordance with Life Care standards and state regulations.

The successful candidate will be a graduate from an accredited PTA program, hold an active license, and be CPR certified or able to obtain it during orientation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program (ASPT).
• Current license/registration in applicable state in good standing.
• 1 year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification required or obtained during orientation and kept current.

Responsibilities

• Follow PT treatment plans under supervision of the licensed PT.
• Chart patient progress accurately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software to document sessions.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients and families.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics and safety.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to plan for patient needs.
