Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a PTA to provide direct rehabilitation under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Responsibilities include following treatment plans, documenting care, and coordinating with patients and families in a post-acute setting.

The role requires an accredited PTA program graduate with active licensure, CPR certification, and strong teamwork, communication, and compliance with Life Care standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program (ASPT).
• Active state licensure/registration; maintain good standing.
• At least 1 year of experience preferred; new grads welcome.
• CPR certification required at hire or during orientation.

Responsibilities

• Follow established PT treatment plans under supervising PT.
• Liaise with patients, families and other departments to plan care.
• Utilize therapy software and document promptly.
• Demonstrate good body mechanics at all times.
• Make independent decisions when warranted.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and post-acute care guidelines.
• Implement and interpret department goals, policies and procedures.
• Maintain patient rights, safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain professional relationships and confidentiality.
• Follow Life Care Code of Conduct and complete required training.
