Job summary

CHRISTUS HomeCare is hiring a Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Tyler, Texas, covering the Kaufman area. You will administer treatment and provide exercise instruction under the plan of care established by the supervising Physical Therapist.

The role requires current PTA licensure, driving access, and weekend availability, with competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current, licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in state of practice.
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• Available to work a weekend rotation
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Follow state laws governing home care PT services; perform treatments only as directed by supervising PT.
• Instruct and aid patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, transfers, and safety.
• Observe, record, and report patient responses to treatment to supervising PT and care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the PTA scope.
• Function in diverse home environments regardless of patient background.
