Job summary

Synchrony in Lafayette, IN is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work under the direction of a Physical Therapist to provide therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment. The PTA will implement treatment plans, observe patient progress, and document outcomes in collaboration with the supervising PT.

Requirements include a PTA degree from an accredited program and active licensure or certification with CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: Degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.
• Licenses and Certifications: Current PTA licensure or certification; CPR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans designed by Physical Therapists, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Observe patient responses to therapy, document progress, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, and report findings to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Provide instructions to patients and families on exercise techniques, safety precautions, and strategies to support progress at home.
• Support Physical Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing observations and insights.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Other duties as assigned.
