Job summary

VitalCaring Group in Webster, TX is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to deliver skilled hospices PT under a licensed Physical Therapist. You will help support comfort, function, and quality of life for patients and families, guided by our values of trustworthiness, capability, compassion, proactivity, and calling.

This role emphasizes hands-on therapy, patient education, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PTA program with an associate degree in science or applied science (APTA approved).
• Current PTA certification or licensure as required by state law.
• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile that meets organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions as directed by a Physical Therapist and per the plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, maintain function, and support safe performance.
• Lead patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility activities, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage) per guidelines.
• Observe and report patient responses and progress to the Physical Therapist and agency staff.
• Instruct patients on safe use of mobility aids and devices.
