Job summary

VitalCaring Group is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapy Assistant to join our home health and hospice team. You will provide skilled PT services under a licensed therapist, supporting comfort, function, and quality of life for patients and families.

As part of a compassionate, growth‑minded organization, you’ll participate in care coordination, documentation, and ongoing professional development while delivering high‑quality patient care in a supportive setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree in science or applied science (APTA approved).
• Current PTA certification or licensure as required by state law.
• Strong verbal, written, and organizational skills.
• Current CPR certification.
• Licensed driver with a reliable, insured automobile that meets organizational requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver physical therapy interventions under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist and per plan of care.
• Treat patients to relieve pain, maintain function, and support safe performance.
• Lead therapeutic exercises, gait training, mobility activities, transfers, and prosthetic training.
• Utilize physical agents (heat, cold, water, light, electricity, ultrasound, massage) per guidelines.
• Document updates in the patient’s clinical record and collaborate with the hospice care team.
